So, I was browsing online the other day, because, duh, who isn’t? And I keep seeing Fendi shoes everywhere. Like, FARFETCH is slingin’ ’em, Nordstrom’s got a whole section dedicated to ’em, and even Saks Fifth Avenue is gettin’ in on the Fendi fever. It’s kinda crazy, right?
First off, gotta say, those platform shoes at Saks? Kinda diggin’ ’em. I mean, a girl can always use a little extra height, ya know? But then I see the prices… *whew*. My bank account just whimpered a little. But hey, you gotta treat yourself sometimes, right? Especially if you’re chasing that designer vibe.
And then there’s the whole thing about dupes. Like, are we really out here tryna fake the funk? I mean, I get it, Fendi ain’t exactly cheap. But is it worth it to rock something that’s *almost* Fendi? I dunno, seems kinda… sad, in a way. Like, own your budget, people! There’s plenty of cool, non-designer stuff out there.
But back to the real deal Fendi. The men’s collection on FARFETCH looked pretty snazzy, actually. Some sharp looking kicks. I guess it’s not just a girls’ game anymore. And the fact that you can get it in like, 7 days? Impressive. I’m impatient, so that’s a major plus.
Honestly, I don’t *fully* get the Fendi obsession. It’s just… shoes, right? But I guess it’s more than that. It’s a statement. It’s a little bit of “I made it” (or “I charged it to my credit card!”).
The whole designer shoe thing is a bit of a rabbit hole, though. You start with Fendi, then you’re eyeing Gucci, then BAM! You’re suddenly considering taking out a second mortgage for a pair of Louboutins. It’s a dangerous game, my friends. A very dangerous game.
