That’s where Amazon comes in clutch.
See, the internet is basically *flooded* with “Bottega dupe bags” on Amazon. And I’m not talking about those cheap-o, plastic-y knockoffs that scream “I’m trying too hard!” We’re talking about surprisingly decent alternatives. Like, the kinda bags that make you do a double-take and think, “Wait, is that *actually* Bottega?” (Okay, maybe not *exactly*, but close enough for a coffee date, y’know?).
Finding them, though? That’s the tricky part. Amazon’s a jungle. That’s where I come in, I guess, since I’ve been doing some…uh…research.
So, like, I saw one dupe on Amazon for $67. Sixty-freakin-seven! Bottega wants to charge you more than my rent for something that’s basically a fancy lunchbox. (Okay, it’s probably not *actually* a lunchbox, but the size tho???). It’s described as a “Jodie bag 2.0” which, honestly, I don’t even know what that means, but it sounds kinda cool, right?
And apparently, there are “endless designer dupes” on Amazon if you *know where to look*. The article I read (or, like, skimmed…details, details) said they did the work for us. Bless their souls. But, like, I’m still a little skeptical. Are they *actually* good quality? Or are they gonna fall apart after, like, a week? That’s the million-dollar (well, $4,500-dollar) question.
I also saw something about “chemicals safer for human health and the environment” and “farms or facilities that protect the rights and/or health of workers.” Which, okay, cool. But, like, is that just marketing fluff? I feel like every company says that these days. It’s good, I guess, but is the bag actually going to look good??
