Where Does Louis Vuitton Get Their Raw Materials From?

If you’re the proud owner of a Louis Vuitton bag or are considering purchasing one, you may be curious about the materials used to create these luxurious accessories. While .

First off, lemme just say, Louis Vuitton *is* fancy. We all know that. But sometimes I think people assume every single bag is made of, like, unicorn leather or something. Nah.

The most obvious thing is the leather, right? Yeah, they use a bunch of different kinds. We’re talking cowhide, calfskin, and even, sometimes, exotic leathers. Like, the really spendy stuff. And you’ll probably pay a lot of money if you want the exotic leather. But, honestly, *most* people are familiar with their canvas bags.

And here’s where it gets a little confusing. See, those canvas bags, the ones with the Monogram or the Damier pattern? People often *think* they’re leather because they’re so darn tough. They can take a beating! But nope, it’s canvas. Super durable, I’ll give ’em that, but not actually leather. I wonder why so many people think that?

Another misconception I always see is that they are all made in France! That’s simply not true. Some of the Monogram and Damier stuff is actually made in the USA. Who knew? I guess it’s cheaper to make those here.

Now, about the inside of the bags. What’s that made of? I am not sure exactly what the lining is made of, but I am almost certain it is not as great a material as the outside of the bag. I mean, it makes sense, right?

And don’t even get me STARTED on the hardware. Like the little metal bits, the zippers, the buckles. They are so durable and of very high quality. I always wonder where they get that from.
