And then, confusingly, other people say it’s kinda similar to Zara’s *own* Hypnotic Vanilla, which *itself* is supposed to be a dupe for Dior’s Hypnotic Poison. Talk about a rabbit hole of vanilla-ness! I mean, can a perfume even be a dupe of *itself*? My brain hurts.
Thing is, Supreme Vanilla is labeled as a “floral unisex” fragrance. Which, honestly, doesn’t tell you much. Like, what *kind* of florals? Is it gonna smell like grandma’s powdery rose garden, or a fresh, dewy jasmine? The description is vague AF. And “unisex” can mean anything these days, right? Sometimes it just means “not aggressively floral” or “not aggressively musky.”
Personally, I haven’t smelled Supreme Vanilla yet (it’s on my list!), but based on what I’m reading, it sounds… safe. Like, a crowd-pleasing vanilla that won’t offend anyone. Which, you know, is fine! Sometimes you just want a comfy, cozy scent that isn’t too challenging. But if you’re looking for a *dead-on* dupe of any of those pricier vanilla fragrances, well, maybe don’t hold your breath.
The problem with Zara perfumes, IMO, is their staying power. They smell great in the store, and then… poof. Gone. Vanished into thin air like my paycheck after a Zara sale. So, even if Supreme Vanilla smells amazing on initial spray, you gotta wonder if it’ll last longer than your commute.
And the whole dupe thing? It’s always a gamble. Sometimes you strike gold and find an amazing scent at a fraction of the price. Other times, you end up with something that smells vaguely similar but lacks the depth and complexity of the original. It’s a perfumey lottery, really.
