See, I was browsing online the other day (procrastinating, obvs) and kept seeing mentions of these “overrun” CELINE hats. Basically, from what I can gather, it’s like…extra stock. Stuff they made *too* much of, or maybe had slight imperfections, or maybe it just didn’t sell as well as they thought it would. Whatever the reason, it’s floating around out there, often at way lower prices than you’d normally see a CELINE hat.
Now, I’m not gonna lie, the idea of rocking a CELINE bucket hat for, like, half the price…tempting! Especially after seeing that “TRIOMPHE BUCKET HAT IN RAFFIA” mentioned online. Raffia just screams summer, doesn’t it? Imagine strolling down the beach, effortlessly chic, totally hiding your bad hair day under a designer hat that you *didn’t* completely break the bank for. *Sigh.*
But then the slightly paranoid part of my brain kicks in. Is it *actually* CELINE? I mean, there’s a lot of fakes out there. And if it *is* real, is it gonna fall apart after one wear? Like, is that “slight imperfection” actually a HUGE, glaring tear? ‘Cause honestly, I’d rather just buy a cute, non-designer hat than spend a bunch of money on something that’s gonna embarrass me.
Plus, there’s the whole “ethics” thing. Is buying overrun stock supporting some kind of dodgy business practice? I dunno. Maybe I’m overthinking it. Maybe it’s just a smart way to get a high-end piece for less.
Speaking of which, they have shearling hats too! A “TRIOMPHE CHAPKA HAT IN SHEARLING” sounds so cozy and perfect for winter. Is that even possible to get a second-hand one for a good price?
