First off, the obsession is REAL. I mean, just look around online. StockX is blowing up with people buying and selling red Goyard mini bags, Belvederes (that PM Red in Canvas/Cowhide? YES, please!), and even those adorable Minaudiere things. Seriously, coated canvas with silver-tone…it’s like they’re trying to make my bank account cry. And okay, maybe it IS crying a little bit already.
Then you got ZALORA, pretending they’re the “Goyard Original Official Store.” I mean, are they REALLY? You gotta be careful out there, folks. Always double-check, triple-check. You don’t wanna end up with some knockoff that falls apart after a week. Been there, almost done that, learned my lesson (thank goodness).
And eBay! Oh, eBay… a treasure trove AND a minefield. You can find some absolute STEALS on red Goyard totes there, like seriously good deals. But you *gotta* be vigilant. Know your Goyard, know what to look for, and DON’T be afraid to ask questions. Seriously, a little bit of research can save you a whole lotta heartache (and money).
Now, something kinda random but related: card holders. I saw something about Goyard card holders and apparently you can even personalize them online. Bourbon zipped card…sounds kinda fancy, right? I dunno, I’m personally more of a tote kinda gal, but a little red card holder peeking out of your bag? That’s a LOOK.
Honestly, the appeal of red Goyard, for me at least, is that it’s both understated and BAM! At the same time. Like, the Goyardine pattern is so iconic, but the red just gives it that extra oomph. It says, “Yeah, I got good taste, but I’m also a little bit edgy.” Or maybe that’s just me projecting my own desires onto a handbag. Who knows?
