First off, and this is important, forget that whole “manufacturer vs. trading company” thing being the be-all and end-all. Seriously. Some trading companies are actually pretty legit and can get you good deals. They might even have better connections. It really depends on what you’re after.
Now, where should you *look*? Made-in-China.com is a decent starting point, I guess. You can find a ton of suppliers there, but you gotta sift through a lot of, well, let’s just say *varying* levels of quality. Do your due diligence, alright?
And then there’s the whole Cangnan thing. Apparently, they’re supposed to be the bomb when it comes to high-quality printing on non-woven and canvas bags. HuaHao Non-woven is mentioned… maybe check them out? I don’t know, I’ve never personally used them, but it’s something to consider. I mean, if printing’s your jam, right?
Oh, and speaking of location, don’t forget about Cambodia and Myanmar! Some factories are moving there to get those sweeter labor costs. This one factory claims to have over a thousand employees spread across China, Cambodia, and Myanmar. That’s a lotta bags, folks.
Now, this Orient place – sounds like they’ve been doing this bag thing for, like, *forever*. Forty years? Sheesh! Laptop bags and backpacks are their specialty, and they supposedly give free quotes. Might be worth a shot, especially if you need, you know, laptop-specific stuff.
Fabric weight is another thing. This guide about hoodies, which is kinda random (what’s that doing here? Haha!) talks about light summer hoodies. Actually, its not so random, because different fabrics have different weights. You need to consider what kind of bag you want to make, and then decide what fabric you will be using.
