First off, a lotta people are asking if you need to *watch* anything before jumping into the Clone Wars animated series. Technically, the 2008 movie kinda kicks things off, setting the stage for the series. But honestly? You could probably just jump right in. The show does a decent job of filling you in on the basics, and if you’re already a Star Wars fan, you probably know the broad strokes anyway (Jedi, Clones, Sith, Blasters…the whole shebang). Personally, I think the Clone Wars show is some of the best Star Wars stuff out there. It really fleshes out Anakin’s character, shows you how capable Ahsoka is, and makes the tragedy of Order 66 even more impactful. And Maul? Dude’s a total badass in this series. It’s way more than just a cartoon for kids.
